Personal Profile
Mr Alan Broodryk, after completing his Orthopaedic Speciality training in Cape Town, was a Knee Fellow at the Royal Orthopaedic National Hospital in Stanmore, London.
He has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Nottingham University Hospital since 1994, with a special interest in revision hip surgery, as well as primary hip and knee replacement surgery. His surgical philosophy is to view major surgical intervention as a last resort, having explored all sensible gentler avenues first.
He insists on a personal daily review by himself of any inpatients under his care and makes a point of personal telephonic review during the week following discharge.
