Dr Amy Guppy studied medicine at University College London Medical School, graduating with a first class honours BSc degree in Anatomy and Developmental Biology in 1993, followed by MBBS degrees in 1996. In 2007, she achieved an MD from University of London, in conjunction with The Anthony Nolan Trust, researching in the field of tumour immunology.
She has been a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre since 2010, specialising in the management of early and advanced breast cancer.
Dr Guppy is the Clinical Lead for breast cancer at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, advising to local and national forums on improving survival, patient experience, and recruitment to clinical trials through innovative models of breast cancer care.
She is an active clinical researcher within the Breast Cancer Trials Unit at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, acting as the local principle investigator on a range of phase II and III clinical trials within the local and national breast cancer trial portfolio.
Dr Guppy also has an interest in cancer survivorship and has led on follow up strategies in conjunction with the National Cancer Survivorship Initiative and Macmillan.
