Personal Profile
Dr Rai graduated at Birmingham Medical School in 1985 with a specialisation in rheumatology and now he teaches further generations of rheumatologists at an undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as providing clinical supervision. He has coordinated various research studies regarding the topics of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
Dr Rai has several years of management and service improvement/change experience and was the Clinical Director/Lead of a busy NHS Countywide Rheumatology Unit. He also lead the Rheumatology multi-professional team approach across these sites.
He is also engaged in undergraduate and post-graduate medical teaching and clinical supervision. I am a University of Birmingham Medical School Senior Academy Tutor, and a visiting Professor at the University of Worcester.
