Personal Profile
Dr Kumar-Beurg is a GP with wide experience in hospital medicine, General Practice and Medical Management & Governance. In addition to over 20 years as a GP he has held Medical Director posts in a Primary Care Trust overseeing quality across a London Borough and in a Provider organisation running the Out-of-Hours GP services across an entire county and in-hours GP services in a dozen clinics. This combination of clinical and managerial experience has resulted in a thorough approach to care, quality and governance so that patients can be assured of the highest standards of evidence based care. Furthermore Dr Kumar-Beurg’s focus on personalised medicine means that patients can expect a higher standard than “the guidelines” – if “the protocol” approach fails to meet a patient’s needs then he either pursues investigations into the wider possible causes and contributory factors or he suggests further more specialist care.
Since his undergraduate training at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals he has had enjoyed variety and innovation in his career. For three years he was the Medical Director in Newham for the Whole Systems Demonstrator a national trial of Telehealth; for 16 years he was a Trustee of a charity and worked himself in Madagascar delivering medical, humanitarian and environmental aid and; in 2000 he was the Expedition Doctor for a rainforest conservation project. This broad-minded attitude to life and work has resulted in a similarly balanced medical practice that treats the whole person taking consideration of every individual's ideas, concerns and expectations along with their life outside the consulting room.
In providing private GP services Dr Kumar-Beurg offers all the benefits of varied, high quality family medicine coupled with the opportunity to fully address the problems that patients have.
