Personal Profile
Dr Parr studied Medicine at Charles University in Prague (1994 - 2000). Her postgraduate training was undertaken in the UK – The Royal United Hospital Bath and the GRH Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and GP VTS training in Bath. Dr Richard Wharton was her GP Educational supervisor. Wide exposure to hospital specialties including surgery and orthopaedics, ENT, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatric and neonatal care, elderly care, acute medicine, cardiology, respiratory and palliative care was gained.
She has been working as a GP since 2007, based in the Chew Valley area (2007-2022), becoming a GP Partner in 2014. Her additional roles included staff appraisals, CQC manager and Caldicott Guardian positions. She has worked in Out of hours service locally from 2006-2020, including GP in Urgent Care RUH. Since 2022 she continues to work in an NHS Practice in the Bath area.
Her time is divided between NHS GP work and private GP services at the Bath Clinic. She also provides clinical appointments within corporate work settings via a BUPA service since 2022.
Dr Parr has been involved in GP Training as GP Educational Supervisor (2019), supporting and teaching GP trainees. She feels passionate about teaching and sharing the knowledge, helping individuals to grow and develop. She takes part in charitable events as a public speaker with General practice topics of relevance, latest including cancer detection and men’s and women’s health & menopause.
Dr Parr holds Mentoring qualification via the EMCC (2022) and provides mentoring support to individual clients and the health sector colleagues.
Time with her family outdoors & cooking, gardening, travelling, reading, art & architecture and piano are her favourite pastimes.
