Personal Profile
She has a Postgraduate Diploma in Paediatric Neurodisability from Sheffield Hallam University. She was appointed as Consultant at the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital (RACH) in 2007, and currently is the hospital lead for the Child Neurology service, working in collaboration with the North of Scotland Neurology Network (NESCANN). She is also Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Aberdeen.
With over 15 years of UK consultant experience, Dr Stephen’s main clinical areas of interest are the diagnosis and management of neurological conditions in children including epilepsy, headache disorders, neuromuscular disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders.
She participates in many teaching activities locally as well as nationally, from lecturing/ tutoring undergraduates at the University of Aberdeen, to teaching on the national BPNA headache (CHaT) and epilepsy (PET) courses. Dr Stephen is ILAE certified in Basic EEG and paediatric EEG interpretation.
