Dr Ravi Sargur trained in Internal Medicine (infectious diseases, renal, respiratory, intensive care) and then undertook clinical training in Sheffield specialising in Immunology. Since 2009, he has been a Consultant at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He specialises in investigation and management of problems with the immune system, including allergy.
He has extensive experience in the diagnosis, management and treatment of allergic conditions, including food allergy, anaphylaxis, urticaria (hives), angioedema (swelling), drug allergy, aspirin allergy testing, hay fever, house dust mite allergy, cat allergy and bee & wasp venom allergies. He set up the aspirin nasal challenge and desensitisation service in Northern General Hospital. His interests include specialist allergy testing, investigating hidden allergens and problems with the immune system (antibody deficiency).
