After completing his higher surgical training, Mr. Jeavons was added to the General Medical Council Specialist Register in 2013. Following this he undertook Fellowship level training.
Mr. Jeavons undertook two specialist fellowships; the first a British Orthopaedic Association Trauma fellowship at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, a Major Trauma centre. The second the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of England approved Shoulder & Elbow Fellowship at South Tees NHS Trust.
His current NHS Shoulder, Elbow & Trauma Surgery practice is at North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Trust, where he is the Lead for Orthopaedic Trauma.
Mr. Jeavons attended Leeds University where he attained degrees in both Medical Sciences & Medicine. He undertook Basic Surgical Training in the Yorkshire School of Surgery, before progressing onto Higher Surgical Training in Orthopaedics & Trauma within the Northern Deanery. He trained in Darlington, Durham, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Stockton-on-Tees.
He is continually involved in teaching and training of Orthopaedic Surgeons & Allied Healthcare Professionals (Physiotherapists and Surgical Care Practitioners). He organises an annual shoulder arthroscopy course and cadaveric Upper Limb trauma course. He teaches regularly on national and regional courses about the shoulder, elbow, trauma and preparation for the FRCS examination. He is Treasurer for the OrthNorth Teaching and Educational Association, which oversees the Training of the Specialist Orthopaedic Trainees in the Northern Deanery.
He is involved in research, publishing work in peer reviewed journals, presenting work at national & international meetings. He is a reviewer for the BJJ (Bone and Joint Journal) and Shoulder and Elbow (official publication of the BESS).
