Dr Seau Tak Cheung graduated from Dundee Medical School in 2000 where he also obtained a Pharmacology medical science degree.
Dr Cheung finished his general medical training in Birmingham. His Dermatology specialist training was undertaken in the West Midlands, which he completed in 2007 to become a Consultant Dermatologist. In 2015, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London). He is now based in London.
He has held several clinical leadership roles in NHS hospitals. These included Skin Cancer Lead and clinical Cancer Lead for the Hospital as well as Dermatology Clinical Director.
Dr Cheung has also been extensively involved in dermatology clinical research, which included studies of new psoriasis, actinic keratosis and vitiligo treatments. In 2016, he was awarded the prestigious National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Leading Commercial Principal Investigator Award. He also received earlier commendation from the same awarding Body. Furthermore, he has been the Dermatology co-lead of the NIHR West Midlands Local Clinical Research Network and was a member of the Dermatology National Speciality Group research committee.
