She is formally accredited in Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the Royal College of Radiologists of London. Her MD thesis was based on researching the causes of pre-eclampsia. In conjunction with this, Miss Mukherjee was a Commonwealth Scholar at the University of Oxford and a Royal Society of London Fellow. More recently she has taught at the University of Warwick.
A gynaecology outpatient clinic is offered to all women and a specialist service for high-risk pregnant women, including those with multiple pregnancies, previous history of pre-eclampsia (PET), preterm labour, pregnancy loss, congenital anomalies and intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR). In particular Miss Mukherjee provides nuchal scans and invasive chorionic villous sampling (CVS) in the first trimester and amniocentesis and anomaly scanning in the second trimester. In addition to this, her expertise also involves diagnosing and managing chromosomal, genetic and structural abnormalities in the fetus.
Miss Mukherjee is fluent in English, Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi and Urdu.
