Personal Profile
Mr Halsey is a dual fellowship trained Consultant in Hand & Wrist surgery. Tim studied at the University of Bristol Medical School, was a junior surgeon in London and completed his specialist orthopaedic training on the Cambridge rotation. He then spent two years gaining additional experience with fellowships in London and Melbourne, Australia. An award from the Royal College of Surgeons of England enabled Mr Halsey to visit centres of excellence in Lyon, Reims and Paris to learn advanced wrist arthroscopy techniques. His interest in wrist trauma was further developed through an AO Trauma Fellowship in Salzburg, Austria.
Mr Halsey has published, presented and won national prizes for research articles on a variety of subjects. Mr Halsey holds the European Diploma in Hand Surgery and his expertise permits him membership of the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society, the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and the British Mountain Medicine Society. Away from work he enjoys a variety of outdoor pursuits with his wife and three children.
