The CEiRT Clinic is an independent kidney transplant clinic based at BMI The Priory Hospital and is staffed by a team of transplant experts.
After many years of successful kidney transplantation, Birmingham provides a natural destination to find the highly experienced team of living donor renal transplantation experts within the CEiRT Centre of Excellence.
The CEiRT Clinic offers an independent service in Renal Transplantation for patients both within and outside the UK. The service is based on living donor transplantation and patients needing a kidney transplant are required to provide the donor who would be expected to be a family member or very close friend.
All donors must be acceptable within the context of the UK Human Tissue Authority (HTA) and other UK standards and guidelines. Patients can be assured that both they and their donor will be in the best of hands. The CEiRT Clinic does not provide services for paid, unrelated donors.
The CEiRT Clinic also has the expertise to extend kidney transplantation to situations of increased complexity, such as when blood groups are incompatible (ABOi).
Both haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis can be performed at the BMI Priory Hospital.
