The Birmingham Bowel Clinic is the first private centre of excellence for managing bowel conditions in the West Midlands.
The Consultant General and Colorectal surgeons of the Birmingham Bowel Clinic are Mr Tariq Ismail and Mr Simon Radley and they provide a comprehensive approach to the management of bowel conditions.
They are supported by a specialised group of consultants including a Consultant Oncologist, Consultant Radiologist and Consultant Histopathologist to provide an integrated service with a multidisciplinary approach to the management of bowel conditions.
The Birmingham Bowel Clinic is also the only established clinic in the West Midlands to offer the revolutionary Haemorrhoidal Artery Ligation Operation (HALO), which eradicates piles without the need for cutting or in some cases a general anaesthetic. They also specialise in minimally invasive Laparoscopic surgery for colorectal disease - benign or malignant, as well as bowel cancer screening.
In addition the Clinic accepts referrals for all aspects of general surgery and surgical gastroenterology. The surgeons perform a wide range of general surgical procedures, including hernia repairs, gallbladder surgery and minor operations.
