BMI's treatment centres give patients convenient access to a variety of private outpatient health care services including GP and consultant appointments, health screens, vaccinations and diagnostics, often in a city centre location.
Payment for appointments at any of our treatment centres will be required on the day of treatment and we accept all major credit cards and debit cards. If you are insured, BMI Healthcare is recognised by most UK insurance providers. It is important to ensure that any appointments are pre-authorised in advance of your consultation or treatment.
Where diagnostic imaging services are provided onsite by Alliance Medical, pre-authorised insurance codes are also required in advance, or payment must be made on the day of your appointment.
Private Medical Insurance
BMI Healthcare provides treatment to patients who hold policies with most major Private Medical Insurance (PMI) providers (it does not offer its own medical insurance scheme).
Insurance companies require a GP referral letter to be completed before they will consider funding any treatment. Companies then normally request completion of a claim form by consultants or GPs, for which some GPs make a nominal charge.
