Working
with medical professionals
All BMI hospitals attract consultants from a wide range of specialties,
with extensive experience gained within the NHS. They are supported
in each hospital by a team of Resident Medical Officers, available
24 hours a day and throughout the year.
Consultants are granted practising privileges to a BMI hospital
following extensive evaluation of their credentials by the hospital’s
Medical Advisory Committee, which is comprised of senior practising
consultants.
BMI Healthcare was one of the first private health care providers
to require surgeons to achieve accreditation before performing keyhole
surgery in any of its hospitals. More recently, BMI Healthcare has
been leading industry opinion by recommending the inclusion of the
independent sector within the scope of the National Institute for
Clinical Excellence and in the work of the Commission for Health
Improvement, with the setting of nationally agreed clinical and
hospital standards.
These are just two of a wide range of professional
organisations with whom BMI Healthcare works to ensure the highest
standards of care are established and recognised within each of
its hospitals and within the independent health care sector as a
whole. Click

work.
