Personal Profile

Mr Chipperfield qualified from St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical School in 1997.

He underwent training in trauma care in the UK and Australia before completing his basic surgical training on the South Coast of England.

He the went on to work further in Orthopaedics and Plastic Surgery before obtaining a post on the prestigious South East Thames Specialist Orthopaedic Training Programme.

He completed his training in 2009, and having passed the rigorous FRCS examination, he was selected for a 12 month fellowship in Lower Limb Surgery with the Australian Orthopaedic Association in Sydney.

He returned to the UK in 2010 to take up his current post as Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon in Kent, where he continues to develop his elective practice with a special interest in primary and revision lower limb surgery.

He also has a keen interest in trauma surgery, especially hip fracture surgery, and is Specialty Trauma Lead for the William Harvey Hospital. He lives in Kent with his wife and two daughters.
