He is a Senior Partner in Sheffield Orthopaedics Ltd (SOL); the largest independent provider of Orthopaedic Healthcare in the UK (est 2003).

Mr Anderson specialises solely in knee surgery in his private practice, following higher surgical training knee fellowships in Harrogate and Sheffield over 13 years ago and extensive clinical experience since with a busy NHS and private practice.

He is one of the most renowned consultant knee surgeons in the region, frequently approached by other specialists for a second opinion for patients with difficult problems or those who need revision surgery.

He has close links to many high quality physiotherapists working in South Yorkshire as well as sports physicians, osteopaths and chiropractors. His aim is to get patients with a sporting injury or arthritis back to full function as quickly and simply as possible.

Whether you are a senior person with arthritis who wants to live a full and active life, or a sports person who wants to return to competition, Mr Anderson aims to ensure that you receive the very best treatment from highly qualified caring professionals at Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield.

He can therefore treat all aspects of knee surgery in patients of all ages, including complex problems using innovative techniques such as arthroscopy (keyhole) and soft tissue ligament reconstruction for sports injuries through to arthroplasty (primary and revision).

This includes; single and multiple ligament reconstruction, meniscal and cartilage disorders, osteotomies, unicompartmental (partial) and total knee replacements, and he is involved in international research trials.

As with all of the SOL surgeons with its strong governance structure, Mr Anderson consistently demonstrates excellent patient related outcome measures and low re-operation and complication rates compared to other UK surgeons putting him in the best 2-5% (National Joint Registry Data) for partial knee replacements and uncemented total knee replacements and strives to deliver personal, professional, tailored care for his patients.
