Personal Profile

Mr Granville-Chapman is a fellowship trained specialist in Upper Limb Surgery and Orthopaedic Trauma surgery. He is a Consultant at Frimley Health (Heatherwood and Wexham Park) and his elective practice is exclusively in upper limb surgery.  His trauma practice covers all aspects of limb trauma with a focus on complex upper limb injuries.

Mr Granville-Chapman qualified with a distinction from St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London medical school in 2001 and commenced surgical training in 2005. Basic and specialist training was in the South West Thames region. A year undertaking research yielded a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.

Mr Granville-Chapman sat his Orthopaedic Consultant exams (FRCS Tr&Orth) in 2013 and won the Gold Medal for the top performance nationwide. He has been both a Travelling Fellow and an Ambassador for the British Orthopaedic Association.

Upper Limb surgery fellowship was undertaken at the internationally-renowned Wrightington Hospital, where Mr Granville-Chapman worked with leading surgeons in the fields of sports shoulder surgery, complex joint replacement surgery and elbow surgery. This was followed by a further 8 months of fellowship training in Brighton, focusing on complex trauma surgery. Mr Granville-Chapman has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented nationally and internationally on upper limb topics.  He teaches regularly on surgical and trauma courses.
