Mr Abdel Hassan rained at University College and the Middlesex Medical School. He received several prizes and a fellowship to fund an additional degree and obtained a prestigious honours distinction from the University of London.
During his post-graduate training on the Guy’s and St. Thomas’ rotation, he was awarded funding to pursue research in his early interest in knee surgery at Imperial College London. He has a well establish knee practice and receives tertiary level referrals. He has lectured at national and international levels and has been instrumental in establishing cartilage; multiligament, minimally invasive, computer assisted and patient matched surgical techniques regionally. He won a prestigious award for mini-invasive surgery to the knee and to offer training to Consultant colleagues.
The National Joint Registry independently demonstrates his outcomes for primary knee arthroplasty to be in the top 0.2% of the UK for the last 10 years and an outlier for exceptionally good outcomes.
