Dr Fitzpatrick is an adult cardiologist and electrophysiologist who also treats children. He is a consultant at Central Manchester University Hospital NHS Trust and the Royal Liverpool Children’s Hospital, Alder Hey. He specialises in abnormal heart rhythms, treatment with catheter ablation and implantable heart rhythm devices such as pacemakers and ICDs. He is also a leading opinion in the management of blackouts in adults and children. Dr Fitzpatrick consults at BMI The Alexandra Hospital and also Fernleigh Consulting Centre in Wilmslow.
Dr Fitzpatrick trained in Cardiology at the National Heart Hospital, Westminster Hospital, the Royal Brompton Hospital and Wessex Cardiac Centre. He trained in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of California, San Francisco.
He has a special interest in the diagnosis and management of blackouts, and also has an honorary consultancy at the Royal Liverpool Children’s Hospital, Alder Hey, treating children with heart rhythm disorders.
