Mr Adrian Richards graduated in 1988 and commenced training in General Surgery becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1992. He decided to specialise in plastic surgery and trained in this speciality in several of the major units in the United Kingdom. He was awarded the FRCS (Plast) in 2000 which is the highest Plastic Surgical qualification in the UK.
Mr Richards has had extensive experience as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Stoke Mandeville NHS Trust and now concentrates exclusively on Cosmetic Surgery. Mr. Richards recognises that his patients demand excellence, consequently he continuously collaborates with other surgeons worldwide, to bring new surgical and non-surgical innovations to his practice for the benefit of his patients.
He is founder of Cosmetic Courses, a company accredited by the Royal College of Physicians, which provides training to medical practitioners entering the aesthetic market and was the lead investigator in recent clinical research into the use of Botulinum Toxin A for cosmetic purposes.
Mr Richards has published more than 30 papers in plastic surgical journals and is also the author of a best selling book on plastic surgery. His areas of special interest are breast surgery and facial rejuvenation procedures.
Mr Richards is a member of the British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (BAPRAS), the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and the International Society of Aesthetic Surgeons (ISAPS). Mr Richards was voted 'Home Counties' Leading Plastic Surgeon' by The Daily Mail and 'Leading Breast Surgeon UK by The Independent on Sunday.
