Mr Aidan Noon

Personal profile

I qualified from Manchester University Medical School (awarded honours) in 2000. I completed my basic surgical training in the North Western Deanery. I carried out research in the molecular biology of cancer at the University of Liverpool and was awarded a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD).

In 2008 I started my Specialist Training in Urology in South Yorkshire (Sheffield – Royal Hallamshire Hospital). I carried out a 2 year Society of Urological Oncology (SUO) Fellowship at the University of Toronto (Princess Margaret Cancer Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital and Sunnybrook Hospital). I was trained in all aspects of Urological Cancer (bladder, prostate, kidney, testis and penile). I Graduated from the programme in 2015. 

I currently work as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

Clinical Interests

  • My main clinical and research interest is Pelvic Oncology (Bladder and Prostate cancer)
  • I am a fully trained in General Urology including, urination difficulties
