Mr Akbal Randhawa obtained a degree in podiatry from University College London and a Masters degree from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. His research was in gait analysis of patients undergoing total knee replacements and organisms involved in infection of diabetic foot ulcers. His practice specialises in biomechanics and the analysis of gait, and he treats a wide range of biomechanical problems including running and other sports injuries resulting from poor foot function.
Mr Randhawa's work includes treating armed forces personnel with a variety of injuries. He also treats track and field athletes including distance runners. Examples of conditions he is capable of treating effectively are plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonopathy's and shin splints as well as mechanical back pain and mechanical knee pain, lipoatrophy and metatarsagia.
