Dr Andrew Deaner qualified in Leeds in 1987 and completed his cardiology training at the London Chest Hospital before being appointed Consultant Cardiologist at King George Hospital and at the London Chest Hospital in 1996.
His practice includes treating patients with all types of cardiac disease, including those with coronary artery disease (angina and heart attacks), valvular heart disease, palpitations and pacemakers as well having a special interest in pregnant women with heart disease. He carries out diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty and stents, pacemaker implants and transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography.
Dr Deaner is heavily involved in post graduate medical training and holds the post of Trust Liaison Dean for Health Education England, North Central and East London. He has previously held the role of President of the Cardiology section of the Royal Society of Medicine.
