Andrew Kay trained in London, Cambridge and Glasgow prior to the appointment of a consultant neurosurgeon at the University Hospital Birmingham. He has extensive neurosurgical experience in a wide range of neurosurgical conditions including lateral skull base surgery (acoustic neuroma), neuroncology, Chiari malformation, Syringomyelia and disorders of Cerebro Spinal Fluid circulation. Spinal interests include degenerative spine disease and rare spinal conditions such as spinal dysraphism (such as tethered cord syndrome) and intramedullary (spinal cord) tumours.
