Mr Ted Baxter undertook a Fellowship in Minimal Access (‘keyhole’) surgery prior to taking up his Consultant post in 2002. He is a specialist in hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery; his interests include the management of abnormal uterine bleeding, the treatment of endometriosis, day-surgery ‘keyhole’ hysterectomy, out-patient gynaecology (including hysteroscopy and endometrial ablation for heavy periods) and out-patient sterilisation.

He is a national trainer in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. He is Lead for Gynaecology at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

He regularly lectures at international and national meetings.
