Personal profile

Mr Andrew Beale has been Head Of Radiology at Great Western hospital since April 2006, where he has been working as a consultant radiologist since 1995.

Andrew gained his medical degree and MBChB at Edinburgh University in 1985 and in 1988 he was awarded an MRCP (UK).

In 1989 he took up radiology training at St Bartholomew’s, London and in 1993 was accepted in to the University of California San Diego (UCSD) United States of America to study Fellow in Interventional Radiology.

In addition to his current post, Andrew is the Senior Clinical lecturer of Radiology at Bristol University and Assistant Professor at St George’s University, School of Medicine, Grenada.

Andrew’s research interests include gastrostomy, chest biopsies, Clinical Governance, and testicular ultrasound.
