Dr Mocroft has an interest in peripheral nerve disorders, in particular diagnosis of nerve entrapments and general nerve disorders. 

He has expertise in the neurophysiological diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease and general muscle disorders.

Personal profile

Dr Mocroft qualified from Birmingham University in 1981.  His training took place in various hospitals throughout the Midlands.  Clinical Neurophysiology training was undertaken in Birmingham and Coventry. 

Dr Mocroft has been a Consultant in Clinical Neurophysiology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham since 1994.  He has been practising in private practice for 26 years. He has been involved in Medico-Legal work for 15 years and provides a Neurophysiology Report for around 100 cases per year.

During this time he has helped to train many registrars who are now consultants in their own right throughout the country.  He has been Clinical Service Lead and is currently Regional Specialty Advisor for this specialty.

Also works at Circle Rehabilitation Birmingham.
