Trained at the Royal London and St Bartholomews Medical School. Ophthalmic training at the Tennent Institute of Ophthalmology and Glasgow Eye Infirmary. Registrar rotation in North East England (Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesborough). Senior Registrar at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. Holder of two fellowships at Moorfields in both Cornea and Medical Retina (Professors Dart and Lightman).

Clinical Interests

I currently work as a cataract surgeon and general ophthalmologist. I perform over 1000 operations/ year, principally cataract surgery, glaucoma operations (trabeculectomy, SLT), eye lid procedures (ectropion, entropion, ptosis, blepharoplasty, lesion removal) and non-refractive laser surgery (YAG, SLT, Argon).

Previously I ran a medical retinal service and a cornea with external eye disease clinic at the West Suffolk Hospital for 12 years. I introduced deep anterior lamellar and endothelial corneal transplants as well as retinal treatments (Avastin, Lucentis, Eylea injections for macular disease) I also practised as a refractive surgeon involving LASIK, LASEK, PRK, Multifocal implants, Toric implants and phakic intraocular lenses.
