Mr Andrew Grace has been a Consultant Otolaryngologist/Head and Neck Surgeon at York and Harrogate Hospitals for 25 years. He qualified with a MB, BS from the Middlesex Hospital, London in 1978. His training in ENT surgery took place at a number of hospitals in London including: the Royal International Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He also studied at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge and Toronto General Infirmary, Canada.
He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, England in 1984 and obtained his specialist accreditation in 1987. He was made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists in 2004. In addition, he was the Clinical Director for head and neck services for North Yorkshire from 2001 to 2010 and Regional Advisor for the Royal College of Surgeons for Yorkshire and Humberside from 2006 to 2011.
Mr Grace is also the Chair for the Surgical Board at York Hospital and he is an examiner for the Intercollegiate Board of Otolaryngology. He is a Law Society approved Expert Witness and a Senior Clinical Tutor at Hull York Medical School for year 4 students. He is also an Educational Facilitator for problem based learning and clinical skills for year 2 students.
