Mr Anthony Vivian graduated from Westminster Hospital, University of London in 1984. He started his ophthalmlogy training at Moorfields Eye Hospital and The Royal London Hospital and then moved to Southampton Eye Hospital. He returned to complete a paediatric ophthalmology fellowship at Great Ormond St Hospital for Sick Children and specialist plastic surgery training at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 1989.

In 1995 he moved to East Anglia and works as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge and West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds. He is on the Council and the Scientific Committee of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He has a particular interest in childrens and adult squint surgery.
