Personal profile

Mr Razak is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in hip and knee replacements. His NHS practice is based at North Manchester General Hospital and Fairfield General Hospital.

His clinical practice includes hip replacement (primary, complex and revision), primary knee replacement and knee arthroscopy (keyhole).

Mr Razak graduated with BSc in Medical Science from the University of St Andrews and gained his medical degree with honours (MBChB) from the University of Manchester.

He then pursued his interest in orthopaedics, working with prominent orthopaedic surgeons at various hospitals in Greater Manchester and Lancashire. He completed his higher specialist training and was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2017.

Following this, Mr Razak undertook a revision hip arthroplasty fellowship at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and gained valuable experience and skills in complex lower limb replacement surgery.

He has a keen interest in surgical training, and is actively involved in teaching and training of orthopaedic trainees as Orthopaedic Specialty Training Lead at North Manchester General Hospital.

Mr Razak has presented and published in international peer reviewed journals and written a book chapter.
