Mr Ash Prabhudesai is Consultant Colorectal, Laparoscopic & General Surgeon at the Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals, where he has a varied general and colorectal surgical practice with an enhanced interest in emergency surgery. He is also Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Imperial College School of Medicine, London. Mr Prabhudesai is also co lead of the department of General Surgery & Urology at Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hopsitals.
Mr Ash Prabhudesai's main interests are state-of- the -art minimally invasive surgery for bowel disorders, including cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. He maintains a special interest in modern minimally invasive treatment for haemorrhoids and fissures.
He also specializes in laparoscopic treatment for abdominal wall hernias and gall bladder disease.
He is a core member of the colorectal cancer multidisciplinary team at the Hillingdon Hospital.
He enjoys teaching both in the operating theatres and outside. He examines for the final MBBS examinations in general surgery. He has presented at various national and international meetings.
Mr Prabhudesai strives to provide the best possible, personalised and evidence based care to each of his patients. He makes a special effort to explain the condition, treatment options and likely outcomes to his patients.
