Clinical Interests

Mr Beurg enjoys providing GP care, that is holistic, family medicine. In most instances that means listening to a problem or a set of symptoms that a patient is suffering – and most importantly listening to the patients’ own ideas about what’s wrong - and piecing it together to recommend investigations or treatments. This diagnostic process is at the heart of the GP consultation and by doing it carefully previously unidentified problems can often be uncovered but usually the most significant part is explaining everything to patients.

In some instances patients don’t want to see the Doctor because they feel ill but because they want to do a general check-up or have a medical review of long-term, ongoing conditions. These more general consultations usually need a wider look than a single problem and I enjoy taking that broad, preventative overview of a patient’s health.
