Mr Siddiq undertook higher specialist training in the South Thames and West Midlands regions and did a subspeciality otology (ear disorders) fellowship in Manchester. He was also awarded a JLO Travelling fellowship to the renowned Otology centre in Bezier, France.
Mr Siddiq's practice encompasses the breadth of ENT conditions with a subspecialist interest predominantly in otology. He manages all types of ear conditions, involving symptoms of hearing loss, pain, discharge, itching and tinnitus (noise from the ears). He undertakes a wide range of specialist ear operations including those for chronic ear disease and complex hearing reconstruction (such as stapedectomy for otosclerosis and ossiculoplsty). He is also trained to undertake endoscopic ear surgery.
Mr Siddiq has had specialist training in balance disorders and dizziness. His general ENT practice covers the management of nasal conditions, problems with snoring and voice disorders.
He believes in ensuring patients have a fully informed, high-quality patient journey, centred around good communication which reflects the philosophy of his NHS practice
Mr Siddiq is committed to helping train future doctors and had held an appointment as a Regional Surgical Advisor to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is also an intercollegiate MRCS examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. His research interests have resulted in the publication of over 20 articles in ENT peer review journals.
