Dr Bashar Aldhoon completed his undergraduate medical and postgraduate scientific training at Charles University in Prague before embarking on specialist medical and cardiology training.
In 2010, he undertook a specialist training in cardiac electrophysiology at the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague, one of the largest centres in Europe specializing in cardiac electrophysiology. He was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the same centre and had worked there for many years before moving to the UK.
He joined Worcester Royal Hospital 2018 and he is visiting Consultant at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire. Bashar's specialist interest is in the management and catheter ablation of patients with complex heart rhythm disturbances of atrial and ventricular origin.
He is a member of GMC, Royal College of Physicians UK and European Society of Cardiology. He is a regular presenter at major international arrhythmia meetings and is widely published.
