Clinical Interests

  • Mr Zeidan is experienced in the management of all aspects of breast disease, and is particularly interested in the restoration of shape and reconstruction following breast cancer surgery and breast cosmesis.
  • His practice offers advanced breast conservation techniques including partial breast reconstruction using therapeutic mammoplasties, local perforator and mini latissimus dorsi flaps.
  • He also specialises in a wide range of whole breast reconstruction by means of implant-based, autologous and hybrid techniques.

Personal profile

Bashar Zeidan completed his surgical training in Wessex. He worked with world-renowned breast and plastic surgeons and was awarded a PhD from the University of Southampton (2013) for his research focussing on breast cancer.

He worked as a Clinical Lecturer in Surgery at the University of Southampton between 2013-2017. Mr Zeidan subsequently undertook a National TIG Breast Oncoplastic Fellowship before qualifying as an Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon.

He joined the University of Southampton NHS Foundation Trust as an Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in 2018.
