Dr Alchi is a Consultant Nephrologist at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trusts. He qualified with distinction from Mosul University, Iraq 30 years ago.

He completed a PhD degree at the Division of Nephrology and Rheumatology, Niigata University, Japan 2002-2006. He undertook specialist training in nephrology at Cambridge University Hospitals and completed his post-graduate specialty training (CCT) in 2011. Dr Alchi has a wealth of experience in all fields of nephrology and have a special interest in glomerular diseases. His research interests lie in the areas of diagnosis and treatment of glomerulonephritis as well as in haemodialysis. He has published extensively with more than 30 publications including a chapter in the Oxford Textbook of Clinical Nephrology.
