Dr Bharti Seth

Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Management

MD Anaesthesia

Year qualified:1998

Personal profile

I have been working as a consultant Anaesthetist since 2004 and my interest in pain management eventually made me pursue the differences in management between acute pain that occurs after injury or surgery and the chronic, unremitting pain that continues for weeks, months and years often dictating the life pattern of the sufferer.

I undertook my Advanced Pain Training in 2014. After working for 11 years at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon, I joined the department of Anaesthetics and Chronic Pain Management, Queen Elizabeth hospital at Kings Lynn, in 2015.

Clinical Interests

My specialist interests lie in managing the disease of chronic pain arising secondary to various musculoskeletal problems, such as, low back pain, chronic hip and knee pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, widespread pain including Fibromyalgia.

Chronic pelvic pain in men and women is widely prevalent but unfrequently talked about. Helping to minimise the effect and impact of chronic abdominal and pelvic pain and empowering a person to live life more confidently and fully bring me a personal sense of achievement.

I approach chronic pain using the biopsychosocial triad and am proficient in the use of image guided injection interventions as the need applies, both by X-ray and Ultrasound.
