Dr Carl Brookes is a cardiologist and physician. He consults at the Hampshire Clinic, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Foundation Trust, the Royal Brompton Hospital and the Cromwell Hospital in London.
Having graduated from Oxford University and St Thomas' Hospital in London, Carl Brookes continued his postgraduate training at the Hammersmith Hospital and the Royal Brompton Hospital.
He became a Consultant Cardiologist and Physician at the North Hampshire Hospital in 2000. He has an Honorary Consultant position at the Royal Brompton Hospital and consults at the Cromwell Hospital. Carl runs a joint practice that sees 10,000 patients a year with cardiological problems. He sees patients with all forms of heart disease and practices as a General Physician. He has developed a special interest in interventional cardiology, implantation of pacemakers and runs a specialist heart failure service. He sees patients referred locally as well as from all over the UK and abroad.
