  • Osteopathy integrating a biomechanical, functional and structural approach to assessment and examination

Personal profile

Carl Todd is a registered Osteopath and Clinical Director of The Carl Todd Clinic. Practices in Corsham, Swindon and London. Carl has a Masters degree in Sport Injury Medicine and an Honours degree in Osteopathy and is a member of the General Osteopathic Council, British Osteopathic Association, Osteopathic Sports Care Association, British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine, British Medical Acupuncture Society and the League Medical Association.

Clinical experience with both elite and amateur level athletes has led to Carl developing his own unique style of integrated Osteopathy, encompassing biomechanical, functional and structural models for patient management and re-education.

He currently acts as Consultant Osteopath to The Football Association and England National Team from 2005, has attended 2006, 2010 FIFA World Cups and will be attending 2012 UEFA European Championships. Chelsea Football Club from 2009, England Cricket Board and GB Basketball and will be attending 2012 London Olympics.

Carl is undertaking a PhD research programme at the Department of Orthopaedics, Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Sweden investigating the effect of hip impingement on low back pain.  He is specialist lecturer for the School of Health Care, Oxford Brookes University, and lectures for the English Institute of Sport physiotherapy continued professional development programme.
