Dr Carole Collins undertook her pre-clinical medical studies at Caius College, Cambridge University. She then studied clinical medicine at King’s College Hospital and worked as a junior doctor in the Liver Unit there. As a Registrar, she trained at Mount Vernon and The Royal London Hospitals and as a Senior Registar, at St Mary’s Hospital. This provided her with a broad and varied training and experience in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.
Dr Collins was a Clinical Research Fellow at The Royal London Hospital where she successfully completed a Doctorate of Medicine on the role of Platelets in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. In 1999, she became Consultant Gastroenterologist at West Middlesex University Hospital where she has an interest in all aspects of general Gastroenterology and is the Clinical Lead for Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer.
