Chris Dunkin is a Plastic & Cosmetic Surgeon at BMI Woodlands Hospital. He is also a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the James Cook University Hospital.
Chris started his Plastic Surgery career in Middlesbrough, in 1999. After 2 years research into scarring and scar prevention in Oxford (leading to the award of his doctorate), he trained in Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery in Newcastle, Sheffield and the world-famous Plastic Surgery unit in Adelaide, Australia.
In 2008 Chris was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery. He is a Member of BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons). He is on the Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery.
Chris has published over 25 articles in medical and scientific journals and has presented at Plastic Surgery conferences in the UK, Europe, USA and Australasia. His main research interests are in scarring and scar prevention.
