Mr Christopher Schofield FRCS is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic surgeon, specialising exclusively in Spine Surgery. His specialist areas are the management and surgical treatment of lumbar spine problems including Disc Prolapse and Spine Stenosis.

Christopher offers expertise in the latest minimally-invasive Lumbar microdiscectomy surgery techniques and also in Kyphoplasty  which aims to reduce the pain associated with osteoporotic compression fractures of the spine.

Christopher has over 20 years of Consultant experience of Spine Surgery.

Christopher qualified from the Royal London Hospital and completed his postgraduate orthopaedic training at Charing Cross and St Georges Hospital. He then undertook visiting Specialist Fellowship Training at Hartshill Hospital, Atkinson Morley Hospital and the Royal National Hospital, Stanmore.

Christopher is a NHS Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon and until recently was the Clinical Director of Trauma & Orthopaedics at Ashford and St. Peter’s NHS Trust, a post he held for over 10 years.

In 2011 Mr Schofield joined Surrey Orthopaedic Clinic, a specialist orthopaedic and sports surgery group providing a complete package of high quality musculoskeletal care. The Surrey Orthopaedic Clinic is a multidisciplinary collective of professionals practicing out of BMI The Runnymede Hospital and other private hospitals.
