Personal Profile

Chris Driver is a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon and Urologist who was appointed to Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital in 2000. He qualified from Aberdeen University Medical School in 1989 and trained in Aberdeen, Manchester, Liverpool and Melbourne.

He has a particular interest in the management of day and night wetting and urinary tract infections in children.

He has been the lead trainer in Paediatric Surgical training in Scotland and was elected to the Faculty of Surgical Trainers of Edinburgh as recognition of his dedication and excellence in training. He lectures annually on the renowned British Association of Paediatric Urologists Course in Cambridge. 

Mr Driver is also an Examiner in the Paediatric Surgery Exit Exam in Edinburgh and Hong Kong on behalf of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is also the lead for Patient Safety at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital and is heavily involved in Quality Improvement work.
