Interests in spinal surgery, lower limb joint replacement, fracture surgery including neglected injuries, fractures in the elderly including fragility fractures and kyphoplasty.

Personal profile

Mr Chris McLean is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon appointed to the Royal Navy Medical Service, with Honorary Consultant appointments at the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre, Epsom and Croydon University Hospital. 
His first military Consultant post was in Cyprus in 2009 before returning to the UK and commencing his appointment in Epsom in January 2010. He has had further experience in Sierra Leone, Afghanistan, Europe and at sea around the east and west coasts of Africa and the Middle East. 
He performs elective lower limb surgery in the Epsom elective centre and spinal and trauma surgery in Croydon. Specialist training was completed in London and Surrey on the South East London Scheme and undergraduate training was undertaken at the London Hospital Medical College.
