A fertility expert with 'good broad knowledge', Steer works with 3D scanning to check the uterus and look for blocked fallopian tubes, and advises on sperm count and ways of raising its levels
Mr Christopher V. Steer qualified in 1982 and is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist working at both Kings College Hospital London and private sectors in the London/Kent areas. He has written over 25 publications and 10 book chapters in the medical press related to this field of medicine and trained with Professor Robert Edwards the pioneer of IVF.
Mr Steer has over 35 years experience of IVF and ICSI, with a particular interest in treating recurrent miscarriages. He is one of only a handful of gynaecologists in Europe to have been awarded membership of the American Society of Reproductive Surgery and is Minimal Access Surgery (key hole) trainer in the UK for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He also has a special interest in keyhole tubal surgery to unblock tubes and reverse female sterilisation.
In 2006 he published the original article of day case vaginal hysterectomies in the UK.
He is also recognised as a specialist Hysteroscopic surgeon by the Ashermans Society.
Mr Steer is accredited as a trainer in gynaecological ultrasound for both the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists as well as the University of London.
He practices utilising a holistic approach to include both medical, emotional and environmental aspects of infertility, and is in a position to offer total care
