Clare Cullen is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a clinical practice in soft tissue knee surgery and lower limb arthroplasty. Her NHS practice is based at North Manchester General Hospital.
She qualified with a BSc from the University of St Andrew's in 1996 and an MB ChB from University Manchester in 1999. Clare completed her surgical training in the Northwest region.
She completed a one year fellowship affiliated with the University of Toronto in 2009. Her main specialty is in lower limb reconstruction: primary and revision knee replacement surgery, partial knee replacement surgery, primary hip replacement surgery and she deals with common sporting injuries to the knee including: arthroscopic cruciate ligament reconstruction, cartilage defect surgery and meniscal repair.
Clare is interested in teaching at a postgraduate level and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Department of Health, Sport and Rehabilitation at the University of Salford. She is a Royal College of Surgeons Examiner and is involved in training junior orthopaedic surgeons.
