Dr Darryl Britto provides assessment and treatment of mental health problems in the adult population. This includes: assessment, diagnostic formulation, biological and psychological treatments for anxiety, depression, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Schizo-affective disorder, Bi-Polar affective disorder, alcohol and drug abuse, post traumatic stress disorder, work related stress.

He has experience in anxiety management and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. He has completed training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). The range of treatments offered which include biological and psychological treatment are in accordance with the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) and Department of Health Guidelines for clinical effectiveness.

Dr Britto's specialist areas of work in the medico-legal field include: assessment of accident victims, sexual abuse victims, assault victims, crime victims, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, depression, alcohol and drug abuse, psychological sequelae of pain disorder, psycho-somatic disorders/Munchausen, work-related and occupational stress, employment tribunals, child and family law cases including psychiatric assessment of parents for contact/care  proceedings, private law proceedings.

Assessment of mental health post violence/self-harm/suicide, criminal behaviour, serious offender assessment, criminal responsibility, fitness to plead, witness assessment / testamentary capacity, abnormal behaviour, dangerousness / risk assessment,  pre-sentence reports for criminal cases.
