Dr David Lloyd qualified from Oxford University Medical School in 1998 and completed his training in Gastroenterology and General Medicine in the London and Wessex Deaneries. He was appointed to The Royal Hampshire County Hospital as a Consultant Gastroenterologist in 2011.
David has extensive experience in the management of a range of gastrointestinal and hepatology conditions. He has a particular interest in complex nutritional problems and inflammatory bowel disease and completed a doctoral thesis looking at the management of patients with intestinal failure while at St Mark’s Hospital in London.
David is an experienced endoscopist with JAG accreditation in diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy. He also performs endoscopic ultrasound at The Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
